Howdy!

I’ve been busy up the ying being a student again for a short period of time. In my attempt to focus, I’ve been temporarily kinda disconnected from the social media world. I’ve decided to take some time off to conquer a new challenge: beauty school. There I said it.
Let me tell you, it is not as easy as I thought. Fun, yes. Fun as hell. But BOYEEEEE, you need damn serious skillzzz to paint someone’s face proper. Hello geometry, I haven’t missed you one bit. You have come back to haunt my bubble butt.
It’s refreshing to take part in a brand new environment, re-learning things you thought were right and/or acceptable (in terms of makeup application). It’s sorta like someone telling you you’ve been brushing your teeth wrong your whole life, and you have to change and adapt to another way. Sure, it can be frustrating, but it’s what you make of it and what you put into it, yeah? YES!
What’s most interesting to me, is that I’m not in front of a friggen computer all damn day or connected to my smart phone.  Such a nice change, and I’m really enjoying that aspect…..although, I do miss online shopping and ting.
Welp. Let’s see where this takes me. Stay tuned! I could be painting some face right HERE! ;)
Oh, how I miss being a student again! Respect to all dem makeup artistes’ out thurr. You guys & gals are OG creative hustlers.

spring-6-chic

spring sorbet.

I had the pleasure of attending the Flare/Joe Fresh party last week. It was loads of fun: discounted shopping, yummy eats + delicious treats, great live music, beautiful, stylish people, and one heck of a swag bag. Doesn’t get better than that.
Here’s what I wore: Nothing fancy, just comfy chic with some bap-tap-highlighter-all-up-in-your-face-knit-sweater because I want spring to come so hella…no….HEYLA BHAD.
Dear spring, stop playin’ wit me.

Thanks to my girl Jac for the invite! Lucky me! <3

jolly good.

Who you foolin’ today? Hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful long Easter weekend full of family, love and treats!

Spring. Yous be a tease. I took advantage of the sunny beautiful weather we had and tried some layering with my Nike Dunk Sky Hi Wedges – City Pack “London” edition. Weeeee! These are the perfect sneaker to compliment any basic outfit with that pop of colour and plaid pattern. Super love. Secret height don’t hurt either for shawty’s like me.
This army green jacket from Club Monaco is the perfect layering piece for any season and caters to any style or colour pairings. My favourite part about it is the subtle asymmetrical cut in the back. Definitely a must have staple in any closet!

sunny (1 of 9)

sunny side up.

Spring is just around the corner, and I am so very excited!
Do you find that you have so much more variety (and more in general) in summer pieces than you do winter?
Do I really need that many shorts and skirts for a total of 3 months of the year?
Yes. Yes I do.
Summer puts us in a good mood, and good moods = good shopping moods. Good shopping moods lead to empty wallet mood. Oh well, at least we look good, whatever mood we’re in!
Oh colours, how I’ve missed you!

I’ve pranced around the office in this outfit and when the weather gets warmer, I would replace those boots with some pretty, feminine high heels.
The things you can do with statement pieces! And these Rag & Bone boots are the S%#$! They are my go to boot for almost any occasion and go with everything!
